About

Five Orlando musicians just fought off an alligator on their front porch.

While that is fake news, the members of the band 10 Foot Mountain were inspired to write a song addressing the wild state of affairs in our society today.  Sharing their first single “Another Beautiful Day” on September 4, 2020, this release comes ahead of their debut EP “Sunshine for Free” on Indie Cision Records.

Mark Dunham, vocalist on the track, says that “Another Beautiful Day is about the white picket fence American dream that our country wants to portray, while in reality, we live a nightmare of greed and money.”  26 years after Bruce Springsteen criticized these very same issues in his hit “Born in the U.S.A.” not much has changed and this song tells that story to a new generation.

“Another Beautiful Day” and the rest of the songs on “Sunshine for Free” tackle these pressing issues, as well as personal stories of survival.  Despite trying times, their songs remain fun and evoke a desire to return to happier days.  The music on their debut EP conveys this range of emotion and satisfies a variety of musical cravings.

While touring and concert dates are in a state of flux due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 10 Foot Mountain have maintained their social media presence and will continue to release singles and videos for songs from “Sunshine for Free” in the coming months.  Watch out for more from this dynamic band…as well as for alligators on your porch.
